After 17 months in this rollercoaster of a pandemic, your favorite, fit besties finally got a chance to see each other!!

Aside from fitness, our friendship has also revolved around concerts and music. So when Usher announced his residency in Vegas, we knew we had to make it at some point. When it looked like pandemic restrictions were easing up, we booked a trip to see his residency.

Any trip we take is also going to include some good workouts and a trip to visit some studios. This time we headed to TruFusion Blue Diamond, which was nestled about five miles outside of the Vegas strip. It was actually CaCera’s second visit to a TruFusion location on the west coast.

TruFusion is most best known for being J. Lo and A. Rod’s go to, so it’s been talked about it quite a few celebrity and style magazines. With 16 locations across the country, and some star power to back it, you would think the studio would feel like a big box, pretentious place.

Keep scrolling below to get into thoughts from our visit.

TruFusion

Sweat Level: 💦💦💦💦of 5

Class Format: Boxing Conditioning

TruFusion Blue Diamond has six studios within it’s location and hosts classes ranging from pilates & yoga to bootcamp & HIIT. There’s even classes with dedicated equipment focus like TRX, kettlebells and battle ropes.

Gear Needed:

The studio does not supply hand wraps, so if you have a pair bring your own. They do offer wraps for sale and boxing gloves are complimentary. Also, bring a towel.

Studio Vibe:

We have to say, we were very surprised that both our visits to TruFusion felt warm and inviting. It’s a big studio and as noted, quite a few locations across the country. However, it did not come across as pretentious at all. We felt at ease and welcome.

Who to Bring?

Your friend that is not afraid to sweat and thrives in new environments. From the moment we stepped in class, we could tell this was a close knit group who knew the groove and were ready to go. It was fast paced and there was not a lot of time for a rundown of the workout. We warmed up and did not stop moving for the next 50 minutes.

We also couldn’t stop commenting on how badass the instructor was. We took class with Hilla Malverty and let us just say, we wouldn’t want to cross her in a dark alley.

Would You Double Tap That?

Absolutely! First, we love a good boxing class! This particular format mixed boxing rounds on the stand-up bags with strength work. The strength portion of class was high-intensity movements using kettlebells and medicine balls.
