Have Peace, Will Travel

Go. Go. Go. That is pretty much the mantra in today’s society. There is continuing pressure to push harder, keep grinding and when you’ve reached you max, push just a little more. And while there is nothing wrong with strong work ethic, your body and mind still does need time to rest and recharge. If you feel like you are constantly hitting a wall, have you thought about attending a wellness retreat?

Wellness retreats are growing in popularity and are essentially vacations focused on giving you the time to reset. They often take place at resorts or destinations that are centered around refuge and seclusion. These type of health-centric experiences schedule time for spa treatments, meditation, massages, yoga and fitness offerings meant to help you dial back with the purpose of having you leave rejuvenated.

There are quite a few wellness retreats built for any by black women. Check out a few below:

The Whole Experience

The Whole Experience was started by two brave travelers, Tameka and Whitney. The two were both on solo trips to Bali when their paths crossed and they became fast friends. This wellness experience is designed to be a safe place where women can come together and travel the world while learning about healthy living. No matter the location, travelers can expect to participate in boot camp-style workouts and yoga, seminars on mindfulness, and local excursions.
